World Masters Time Trial Challenge 2004

RESULTS

Congratulations to Canada, represented by the Edmonton Masters Cycling Club, winners of the World Masters Time Trial Challenge for 2004.

Second place was garnered by England, represented by the Redbridge Cycling Club and third taken by Australia, represented by the Hamilton Pine Rivers Wheelers.

Two special mentions are in order as we review this championship - one is the participation of James Eckersley of the Hamilton Pine Rivers Wheelers who climbed onto his bike after major surgery and completed the ride, keeping a long standing competitive record against Redbridge intact. The other is Werner Fenske of the EMCC who, while still not recovered from a severe crash that has seen him off the bike for much of the past two seasons, still managed to make the winning team for the EMCC. We should have a special Tough Guy award for these two competitors!
