Penticton Fall Cyclocross

Thanks to Peter Heppleston for suggesting a Penticton Cyclocross Camp this fall. While there was limited interest within the club, two EMCC members (Brian Countryman and Ed Heacock.) headed west for a cyclocross test ride during the first week of October. Thanks to Brian for putting together a ride report.

World Senior Games

Al McCalder was kind enough to pass along a couple of photos from the World Seniors Games earlier in October.  The first is a photo of the "Three Horsemen and the Kid" (Matt, Heinz, Eric and me).  And the second is a photo of Heinz with Gold Medal in 20 km Time Trial.  Heinz also picked up Silver in the 5 km Hill Climb, Gold in the Crit, and Gold in the Road Race for his age category (Men 75-79).

EMCC Clothing

We have limited stock of current style clothing as well as a few old style items remaining. Contact Richard if you are interested.

2009 Award Winners

Congratulations to all the people who won EMCC awards this year - all 43 of you. If you find any errors or omissions, please let me (Peter) know.

Memberships due BEFORE Racing

To avoid confusion at both at the start of race events and in the calculation of the results it is important that you get your membership in well in advance of the day of the event. The race directors are provided with the membership list and volunteer list; if your name isn’t on those lists you probably won’t be allowed to race even if you bring your membership to the event. If you haven’t already done so, please ensure that you get your membership in and your name on the volunteer list as soon as possible to avoid confusion and frustration at future events
